Hello,
To follow up on Katharine's post-- after you have joined the 'Chicago Bridge group for emerging professionals in the field of aging,' get started quickly and fill out an application to be in their mentorship program: http://www.thechicagobridge.org/mentorship-program/
The application has a deadline of March 1st. They want you to send a resume and to fill out 1 page of questions about how you'd make use of a mentor and stuff. It took a little bit of time, but the questions feel like exactly the kind of stuff we will be answering in P. Dev class anyway.
I don't know how many AT Mentors will be available, but I think it's a good idea to learn what you can about other areas of elderly care. The opportunity to have someone experienced coach you on job applications and networking could be super valuable for those of us who plan on entering the work force this coming May.
Good luck!
